Rafael Nadal v Lukas Rosol, Wimbledon 2014: live

Follow game-by-game coverage of the mens' singles second round match between Rafael Nadal and Lukas Rosol at The Championships, Wimbledon, on Thursday June 26, 2014.

Nadal* 4-3 Rosol
A first double fault of the match from the Spaniard allows Rosol back at 30-15 and he goes for a big service return on the next but gets his dimensions all wrong. Some heavy hitting from the baseline sees Nadal all of a pickle at the back of the court for 40-30 but Nadal dances into a forehand to make sure he's not drawn to deuce this set.

Nadal 3-3 Rosol
Rosol is continuing with his serve-volley play which works him to 30-15 and then gets the better of the Spaniard from the baseline. A powerful first serve and it's back to you Rafa.

Nadal* 3-2 Rosol
What a start to the game as Nadal curls a sweet, sweet forehand which looks to be headed for the tape but eeks over the net and lands inside the line with Rosol stranded at the net. The Spaniard follows it up at 30-0 with a cracking pick up at his feet to sweep home a second forehand into the corner as he wraps up another comfortable hold to 15.

Nadal 2-2 Rosol*
Rosol was swinging and making every shot two years ago but is yet to get into any sort of a rhythm. At 15-30 he saves pounces on a short return to put a half-volley into the advantage side and then follows it up with an outswinging forehand which Nadal can't get his racket head around. Nadal slips on the baseline on the next and it's as you were for the first set.

Nadal* 2-1 Rosol
Nadal gets his forehand warmed-up and forces Rosol into an error for 30-15 and then has a let-off when Rosol clips the tape with the ball dropping into the tramlines and it's another comfortable hold for the Spaniard.

Nadal 1-1 Rosol*
Rosol is given a lifeline when Nadal hits a drop shot back midcourt and the Czech dispatches a sliced volley to get on the board this match. Rosol advances to net at 30-15 but Nadal picks up a short return to pass his rival but some serve-volleying later from Rosol and he's back level.

Nadal* 1-0 Rosol (*denotes server)
A cojple of strong first serves into Rosol's body get him up and running on his opening service game, then a third and a fourth straight point later and it's a hold to love against the 6ft 4in big-hitter.

13.10 Tsonga and Querrey might not have too much longer to wait to resume their contest. Gasquet is two sets up against Kyrgios.

13.07 After that triumph against Nadal two years ago it was no surprise that Rosol lost his next match in straight sets on lonely Court No 13 to Germany's Philipp Kohlschreiber.

13.02 Nadal and Rosol are out on Centre and now going through their warm-ups. Eighth seed Milos Raonic, meanwhile, is two sets to the good against Jack Sock on Court 3.

12.55 Later, we'll have game-by-game commentary of British No 1 Heather Watson's second-round clash with ninth seed Angelique Kerber and Roger Federer's battle with Luxembourg's Gilles Muller. Both matches are scheduled for Centre following the conclusion of Nadal's match.

I'll also bring you latest from around the ground courts with Sam Querrey and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga to resume their second-round battle on Court Two following Richard Gasquet's match with Australia's Nick Kyrgios.

The two were locked 9-9 in the fifth set when play was suspended last night due to bad light.

An American going head-to-head with a Frenchmen deep in the fifth set at Wimbledon. Mmmmh, it couldn't happen again, could it?

12.45 Nadal gained a small degree of revenge over the Czech when he beat him at Doha in their last meeting at the very start of the year, but Rosol believes the Spaniard is there to be beaten - especially in the early rounds.

"Nadal is the king of clay," he said. "But he is more vulnerable on other surfaces, especially grass. If you want to beat one of the big stars at a Grand Slam, the early rounds are the best."

12.35 Flashback. Here's how our chief correspondent Ian Chadband covered Nadal's shock, shock exit two years ago.
